Although I still like the Afghan Hound .net website, I felt that it was time to change some things from the bottom. These disloyal thoughts finally ended up with a complete remake of the website from the scratch. Please visit our new website and don't forget to bookmark it.

Afghan Hound .net will no longer be updated. However the page remains reachable, to give you the opportunity to browse the archives. Please use the calendar, the search function or the archives button on the left for your researches.

Ch. Caruso el Gran Matador (Breeder: Reinhard Gutwenger, A; Owner: Sabine and Jörg Millert , A) joined in his now 4 years lasting racing and coursing career in 43 racing and coursing meetings. Till today he was 22 times placed first, 10 times placed second and 6 times placed third. He achieved 4 coursing CACIL, 4 Reserve-CACIL, 5 national certifications and 3 times the beauty and performance combination title. Furthermore he won 3 times in a row the combination title at the snow coursing and the snow race in Tirol, Austria. Caruso was also for two consecutive times Nr. 1 at the wellknown snow race in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
In 2005 he participated for the first time in an European Coursing Championship and was 6th placed in Hoope (Germany). At the European Coursing Championship in 2006 in Mustiala, Finland, he achieved the 4th place.
Caruso is State Winner Vienna 2004 in racing and National ÖKWZR Winner 2004. In 2007 Caruso became Italian Coursing Champion. On January 26th, 2008 he complied with conditions of the International Coursing Championship.
In 2007 Caruso finished his Austrian (Beauty) Championship. Aside he is Junior Winner Baden-Württemberg 2003 and ÖKWZR Clubwinner 2004 and 2006. Please find more information on Caruso's Website.

Multi BIS & Multi SBIS, Multi Ntl Winner Am Champion Elan Sebring The Matrix (Breeders: Rachel Irvin, Jerry Klein, Ken Tippie & Lex Robertson; Owners: Rachel & Pete Irvin, Jerry Klein & Lex Robertson - USA) was #1 Afghan 2006 in the United States and two times SBIS winner at the American National (2005 & 2006) and BOS in 2007, BOB at the Eukanuba Palm Springs Show 2005 and now he won BOB at the important Westminster Kennel Club Show 2008. Junior Ch. Farah del Ghyryo (Breeders: G. de Moor and J. de Groote, B; Owners: Patricia and Freddy Lardot , B) had a very successful year 2007. In addition to the Dutch and Belgian Junior Championship she achieved notable titles like Donaueschingen Junior Winner 2007, Brussels Junior Winner 2007 and FCI Junior Sighthound 2007. Today Farah is getting 17 month old.

INT/UK/SWE/DK/IR/LUX/BEL Ch. Exxos Gameboy At Zharook JW (Breeder: Else Holmegaard, DK; Owners: Pat and Robert Latimer , UK) is TOP Afghan stud and 2nd TOP hound stud for 2007 in the UK. Gamer is the sire of 17 champions in the UK, Europe and Canada with many more 'almost there'. His son Ch. Saxonmill Rum Tum Rio JW was TOP Afghan in the UK. Another son Denimblue du Jegdalek was 2nd TOP Afghan in Belgium and Can. Ch Dinant du Jegdalek was TOP lure courser in Canada for the 2nd year in succession. The cream hound born and bred in England, Int Fin Ir Slo Ch. Shadowfax Stepnoi Veter JW CW06 (Breeder: Susan Rhodes, UK; Owners: Susan Rhodes, Maria Shaverneva & Victor Doudko , UK) is having a winter holiday abroad. On 12 January 2008 at Tartu Championship Show in Estonia he won Champion Dog, CAC and BOB under judge Tina Permo (Sweden). On 19 January at Kaunas 2008 Winter Show in Lithuania he won Champion Dog, CAC, Show Winner, BOB and BIG 1 under judge Dr. W. Werbitskij (Bellarussia).

UK Champion Saxonmill Jellicle Jett (Breeder and owner: Roberta Hall, UK) is the TOP brood bitch ALL BREEDS in the UK for 2007. This is a fantastic achievement for an Afghan Hound and results from just 2 litters. Her progeny to date have won 44 CC's and around 40 Reserve CC's including 5 UK champions and multiple CC winners. Both litters were to scandinavian bred dogs: Ch Exxos Gameboy at Zharook and Ch Boxadan Grandpa' Lives Forever.

Multi BIS, Multi SBIS, American, Canadian Grand Champion Polo's In The Air Tonite, FCh (Breeder and Owner: Lorianne Amadeo , CDN) earned in 2007 his American & Canadian CD, American Jc, Sc and CGN. Furthermore he won the stud dog class at the AHCA National Specialty and became best Veteran in Sweeps. 2007 saw Aries kids and grand kids earning championships in Canada, USA, Sweden, Russia and Australia. The Can Am National SBIS Winner was the first Afghan Hound in Canada to earn the Grand Champion title.

American, Canadian and Australian Grand Champion Karakush In Champagne (Breeders: Helen & Le Gibson, AUS; Owners: Helen & Le Gibson and Lynne & Sid Toomey, AUS) has finished the year 2007 (according to Dogz Online Pointscore - Breed & All Breed Systems) as Australia's #1 Afghan, Australia's #1 Hound, Australia's #4 All Breeds, New South Wales #1 All Breeds and (according to the PEDIGREE Pointscore) Australia's #1 Afghan, Australia's #1 Hound, Australia's #2 All Breeds, New South Wales #1 All Breeds. Ch. Agha Djari's Revenge Of Xenos (Breeders: Stefan Boieck, Nelly Ahrend, D; Owners: Roberto Bongiovanni, I and Stefan Boieck, D) is TOP Afghan Hound 2007 in Germany. Furthermore Rush has become German Bundessieger 2007, Belgian Clubwinner 2007 and Landessieger Bayern Nord 2007. Even though he is not 3 years old, he already finished both German (DWZRV, VDH) and the Luxembourg championship.

Just 16 months old Vivat Sanraiz Future Is You (Sasquehanna Campari x Imadgin Fly Too Victory; breeder / owner: Elena Matveeva, RUS) finished the year with a lot of titles: Champion of Russia, Junior Champion of Russia, Junior Winner of the Russian National Afghan Hound Club and Junior Club Winner of Poland.

Alouann Hot N Spicy at Orashan JW (UK Ch, Aust Gr Ch, NZ Gr Ch Rainbow Aladin of Jhanzi x Alouann Coffee N Cream; Breeders: Claire & Liz Millward; Owners: Gail & Naomi Link) won the 2 x CAC, CACIB, BOB and title Winster 07 at the All Winners Show Amsterdam in November under respected judge Marion Spavin. Chili has had a fantastic year in Europe also winning a CAC & CACIB in Belgium, Green Star & Res Green Star in Ireland and RCC in the UK.
